1. FRAUDULENT EMAILS
Fraudulent offers of employment have been emailed to job seekers by individuals, organizations, internet sites, or social media accounts claiming to represent the Aveco Capital Group. In some cases, job seekers have been asked to disclose personally identifiable information, or pay a processing or work permit fee (as much as several thousand dollars) before beginning their “new role”.
These fraudulent emails do not originate from the Aveco Capital Group. They are recruitment scams designed to extort money and/or personal information.
The Aveco Capital Group will never request funds, require the transfer of money, or seek advancement of fees at any stage of our recruitment process. This includes costs associated with immigration, attorney fees, airline fees, travel insurance or related expenses. The Aveco Capital does not initiate any immigration process until a verified offer of employment is extended to and accepted by the candidate.
If you receive communication that you believe is fraudulent or have suffered a personal loss from a recruitment scam, please contact your local law enforcement.
2. IS YOUR JOB OFFER A SCAM
Several clues can help you determine if your job offer could be a scam:
Are you being asked to pay processing fees, travel fees, immigration fees, or make a payment of any other kind? The Aveco Capital Group never seeks any funds from job applicants.
Even when the Aveco Capital Group has engaged a staffing agency to help identify candidates for positions, these third parties will never request funds from job seekers on behalf of the Aveco Capital Group.
Does the email come from a @avecocapital.com email address? Even if the email address contains the word “Aveco Capital”, it still may not be from the Aveco Capital Group.
3. HOW TO SAFEGUARD YOURSELF
Do not send any money or provide any personal information to an offer of employment by the Aveco Capital.
Report any email communication requesting payment of any kind to your local law enforcement.
Research additional information available to you.
Any unsolicited contact from a person claiming to be an Aveco Capital Group recruiter or a staffing agency acting on behalf of the Aveco Capital Group should be confirmed.
